ANPPCAN Regional Office plans to hold a National Forum on Violence against Children to be held at the Nairobi Safari Club, Nairobi, Kenya on 12-14 February 2008.
The purpose of the forum is to share findings of a study on Violence against Children in Kenya with stakeholders in children issues. The study was conducted in Kenya by ANPPCAN with the support of Save the Children, Finland.
The study was done in 2007 and provides critical information on Violence against Children, such as the types and forms of violence, available interventions- their strengths and weaknesses, good practice models, social and policy gaps and responses. It is hoped this will be a rallying point for children service providers to get empowered on violence against children in Kenya and work to improve the situation of children, and more importantly towards ending violence against children in Kenya.
